Taltopia – Claim Your Fame
Taltopia is an online artistic community which connects aspiring artists with fans and talent industry professionals. It was launched in Los Angeles, California on February 28, 2008 by Allen Vartazarian, a UC Berkeley graduate, and Anthony Zanontian, a UC San Diego graduate.
Taltopia features different forms of artistic expression, organized in a comprehensive category structure which currently includes Music, Art, Acting, Dance, Comedy, Modeling, and Other. Users can upload or embed images, audio, and video of their talent to be judged by the community of fans and critics.

This free service allows users to create descriptive profiles and to upload videos, images, audio, and now documents for the general viewing public to vote on. Voters choose to “Fame” or “Shame” a talent and can add themselves as a “Fan” of talent they like. Members can also compete for great prizes in our contests, where they gain an enormous amount of exposure and judgment. We even give members the opportunity to create their own contests and compete for the prize pool of Famebucks, the virtual currency used on Taltopia.
For users who are not getting the exposure they think they deserve, we offer the “Wall of Fame” which grants users the opportunity to buy their fame. Users bid for the limited number of spots on this page, with outbid users being bumped down to lower spots. The highest bidder on the Wall of Fame is also featured on Taltopia’s homepage!
Taltopia’s Casting Calls section provides members with up-to-date opportunities in the talent industry. Users can browse for projects in their area and submit their application directly, for free. It’s also free for casting directors and other industry professionals to post available roles in this section.
Taltopia is building a community that is highly motivated to watch, judge, and vote on talent. The service is free for everyone, and will always be free for everyone.
