Magician – A tribute to art of magic
Present day magicians are fortunate enough to enjoy celebrity status as compared to the magicians of yester years. Predecessors of present day magicians were more involved performing magic concerning religious mystic. In ancient times, magicians were believed to be persons having authority in the art of sorcery. They brought forth belief in magical spells that harness occult forces or evil spirits to produce unnatural effects in the world. However, rapid development in science and technology disbelieved this notion of mystic confining it to mere illusion of eyes.
Thus, magic is associated with our lives one way or the other. A feeling of astonishment still exists when something totally unexpected happens in front of your eyes. This inner instinct within us to experience thrilling amazement conciliates the existence of magic concept even in 21st century. But present day magic is regarded as illusion of eyes and nothing more than that. Even the magicians themselves agree that their act of magic is a mere illusion and sleight of hand artistry. This inherent aptitude within people of all ages motivates many young people to opt magic as their profession and means of livelihood. Equally, the incumbents learning magic art do possess intense desire to perform magic in a proficient way.
In this series of change in magic art, remembering names of legendary magicians of yester years would be a great tribute to their magnificent art and artistic creation over long years. The first name which deserves high veneration is Jean Eugene Robert-Houdin, who is regarded as the father of the modern magic art. Present day evolution in magic owes much its origins to Robert-Houdin as he was the first person initiated stage performance in theatres and private parties in 1840s among his contemporaries.
Other subsequent legendry, Harry Houdini took all efforts expanding the legacy established by Rober Houdin. His area of expertise involved escapology and he devoted his life for magic by bringing in more and more innovative modern magical ideas and play into existence thereby establishing unknown concept of building interaction between the magician and their audiences.
It is a real challenge for the present day magicians to uphold the legacy bequeathed by these legendary magicians of yester years. Magic is not an easy thing to do as utmost care and attention is required to put-in while performing live to the audience and creating conjurations of impossible or supernatural efforts only through natural means.
Aspiring magicians must therefore take all efforts to ensure that whatever they learn about magic, they must try to uphold the trend ascertained by their predecessors with pure hearts.
