FarmVille Animals
The basic groups of animals in Farmville are Livestock and Lost Animals. You can obtain Livestock at the Market for coins or Farmville cash while Lost Animals will show up on your farm from time to time. One advantage of animal crops is that they do not rot like plant ones. Animals will patiently wait for you to log in again and harvest it. They’re a low-stress, simple to handle method of earning money and enjoying some diversity on your farm.
Livestock
The livestock you can now purchase at the Market are somewhat limited. The livestock which you may obtain at the Market are dairy cows, white (regular) sheep and pigs. New animals appear for a selected time on special occasions and holidays. Green cows presently titledAlien Cow (once titled as BOV1NE-09) appeared in the Market for 2400 coins. A crop named “milktonium” which sells for 18 coins can be harvested from the green cows. The “Baby Turkey” was released during the American Thanksgiving. It evolves into a mature Turkey when harvested for the first time. The grown-up Turkey can then be harvested for feathers once every 2 days at 80 coins per harvest. You can obtain additional fascinating livestock as free gifts from your friends, although the old standbys are available there as well.
Be aware that the harvest times are different for every animal. Several animals “ripen” and can be harvested once a day while others require as many as four days.
Lost Animals
Farmville has an exciting feature which requires you to keep an eye on Facebook status updates to see if your friends have found any “lost animals”. These lost animals will occasionally show up on your farm and request your help. An example would be the Wild Turkey, which was released as a new “lost animal” by the makers of Farmville during the American Thanksgiving holiday.
She will appear on your farm with the following caption:
(Your name) discovered this frightened bird in Farmville. This time of year is tough for her and her kind. Hopefully she can find comfort and safety on a friendly farm. ..
Other lost animals include:
*Ugly Duckling (turns into a swan)
*Brown Cow (gives chocolate milk)
*Pink Cow (gives strawberry milk )
*Black Cat (gives yarn)
*Turtle (produces eggs)
*Black Sheep (produces chocolate wool)
*Regular cows may appear on your farm as a lost animal. They are available through the Market and can be sent as a free item by your neighbors too.
You are not allowed to adopt these lost animals. You can post a status update on your Facebook that you have stumbled upon a lost animal. This is the right time to utilize your other (if you have another one) Facebook account!
Log out and then put your animal up for adoption. Log in on your other account and quickly adopt the animal or else your friends might adopt it before you do! Like what I said before, keep an eye on your friend’s status updates so that you can adopt their lost animals.
If you’re gathering a lot of cows and/or chickens, consider buying a Dairy Barn or a Chicken Coop.
Each building stores 20 cows or chickens and provides a convenient means to store them, and harvesting them all at once.
Chicken Coops also give you the opportunity of getting Mystery Eggs.. Go to Farmville Buildings to know more.
