Family activities and live performances to brighten your winter weekend in “Light Field” spectacular Millennium Park in Chicago

Chicagoans and visitors will join in the fun and bright, no specific site video and sound installation by Chicago-based artists, Luftwerk, which will illuminate Cloud Gate Millennium Park in Chicago from 10-20 September. Family activities, live performances and dance events will complement the installation that will transform the park into a digital canvas of light and geometric shapes, with music composed by Owen Clayton Condon of Chicago Third Coast Percussion.

Collaboraction join a local theater, and Cloud Gate for site specific performance inspired by the illuminated areas. Follow along with its choreographed movement and participate in interactive games, all synchronized with the light field video and audio.

Saturday, February 11 and 18, dance lessons: 5 18:00: Dance Open: 6 08:00
enjoy dancing lessons and dance party at the indoor heated tent before heading to see the illuminated field. Dance was preceded by one hour lessons under the guidance of professional instructors. Doors open 30 minutes before the start of each session. No reservations necessary, but space is limited.

Luftwerk artistic collaboration of Peter and Sean Bachmaier Galleria, and the Graduate School of Art Institute of Chicago. They worked together for more than 10 years, presents their work and cultural institutions, galleries and public spaces, national and international. In 2007, Luftwerk are formed with an emphasis on new media, video and light design. They created a multi-media video installation at various locations as Mass MOCA, JFK Airport, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Frank Lloyd Wrights waterfalls and Robin House.
