University of Texas NSAD offers accredited programs and art departments with nine campuses throughout the state, including Austin, San Antonio and Arlington. Texas is also famous museums like the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Blue Star Contemporary Art Center, McNay Art Museum and the San Antonio Museum of Art and the Austin Museum of Art.

College School of Visual and Performing Arts (SOA) at Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas offers a NASAD accredited training programs of art, art history, communication design and visual studies. Q: What got you interested in art of the American West?: I had a great professor in college who taught American Studies, and came the same day slide by Frederic Remington, [1861-1909] and the CM Russell [1864-1926]. I grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, and I knew people who worked on ranches, or knew people who do it, and boy, pictures did not show the West that I knew. First west of the artists was very romantic, and I knew cowboys were hard workers, but not a fancy pants, handkerchiefs and put their own boots. Q: What are the major Western art sales last year?: We saw a lot of the early work of original members of Cowboy Artists of America. This group, which began in the 1960s. They have been popular, but it has been difficult to find the early works of these guys. Joe Beeler [1931-2006], John Hampton [1918-1999], Melvin Warren [1920-1995], James Boren [1921-1990]. Without a doubt the most successful West Texas artist is a man named Gerald Harvey Jones [b.1933], who goes by G. Harvey. He is very popular.

Tae Kwon Do, however, often becomes a way of life, the practice of the gifts of each and every day martial artist’s life. Because of its accessibility and relationship with all areas of life, Tae Kwon Do is a the strongest and most effective martial art in the world. Tae Kwon Do is more physical and aggressive than the “soft” martial arts such as Tai Chi, which is based on more internal silence than physical force. However, Tae Kwon Do contains a lot of meditation and awareness techniques, including those attached to ethics. It is therefore multiple physically beautiful art, such as Capoiera and even some forms of Karate. Tae Kwon Do includes physical, mental, and spiritual arenas, so it is one of the most thorough and comprehensive martial arts in the world today.

It is also steeped in a rich historical and cultural heritage, unlike some other modern and integrated martial arts such as Russian Sambo.

Tae Kwon Do will embrace the tradition as it adapts to the modern world of competitive sports. After its inclusion in the Olympics, Tae Kwon Do retained the loyalty of the basic principles and get off at a number of other martial arts traditions such as judo. Based on the Jiu Jutsu, Judo is is also an Olympic sport. However, Judo involves a lot of grappling, and possibly harmful to move as the Tae Kwon Do not.
