U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan announced the 20 U.S. presidential arts scholar. These scholars were nominated for the position of national foundations in the arts (NFAA) and its core YoungArts program. Presidential Scholars Program in the United States is the highest honor of inclusion, in an artistically talented high school graduation gift. The award is presented to the U.S. President’s name, and select in the academic, civic and artistic achievements of the foundation. Each year, 141 scholars have recognized the U.S. President, including up to 20 arts scholars U.S. president. In the arts in the United States Presidential Scholars will perform and exhibit in Washington, DC, in June.“Any U.S. president who is a scholar in the art to select students are represented, to strive for and achieve their academic, artistic excellence in the field must be described in the service of others, strong leadership, said:” James M Dubin, NFAA Chairman of the Board of Directors. “We have a strict plan so that we can find the best candidates, each year, I am proud to see our organization to play in the recognition and development of such an important part of young artists.”

2011 United States Presidential Scholars in the arts to join a distinguished group, including the Tony Award-nominated dancer and choreographer Desmond Richardson, Executive Director of American Ballet Theater 雷切尔摩尔, novelist and National Book Award finalist Allegra Goodman, Grammy-nominated solo violin Jindo, BRAVO art winner 阿卜迪法拉, Obie Award-winning actress Donna Lynn champlin and renowned visual artist Kevin Berlin work.
2011 United States presidential arts scholar will be honored in Washington with U.S. president in 2011 nationally recognized scholars in the rest of the weekend. The scholars will travel to Washington to meet with government officials, educators, writers, musicians and other people to complete. To commemorate their achievements of scholars was awarded the U.S. President at the White House ceremony sponsored scholars Medal. Artists and writers will be exhibited in the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s works on Sunday June 19, and perform at the Kennedy Center on Monday, June 20 performing arts.
