Top 10 Bizarre World Records(2)

6. Longest Hair
Long, luxurious hair has been valued since the days of Rapunzel. But few women have taken it to her lengths – until Xie Qiuping. Xie has the world’s longest hair, at over 16 feet. Her hair is so long that she must wear it in a tiara on her head and travel with an attendant.

Xie has been growing her hair out since she was a child. She says that her last haircut was in 1973. “It’s no trouble at all. I’m used to it. But you need patience and you need to hold yourself straight when you have hair like this,” said Xie. While Xie has a strong lock on the title of world’s longest hair, there is a challenger. Cheng Shiqiong has been growing out her hair since 1996. But Xe doesn’t need to be worried – Cheng’s hair is only half the length of Xie’s, at nearly eight feet long.

7. Strangest Diet
Michel Lotito (aka Monsieur Mangetout) from Grenoble, France, has been eating metal and glass since 1959. Gastroenterologists have described his ability to consume 900 g (2 lb) of metal per day as “unique”. Mangetout – Michel’s nickname – literally translates as “eats everything”. Michel says bananas and hard-boiled eggs make him sick. His diet since 1966 included 18 bicycles, 15 supermarket trolleys, seven TV sets, six chandeliers, two beds, a pair of skis, a low-calorie Cessna light aircraft and a computer. He is said to have provided the only example in history of a coffin (handles and all) ending up inside a man. By October 1997, he had eaten nearly nine tons of metal.

8. Longest Speech
In 2004, Lluis Colet was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for longest speech. His 2004 speech lasted 48 hours. Since then, the record was beaten by an Indian man who delivered a 120-hour speech, so Colet won it again, this time by talking for an amazing 124 hours. The 62-year-old Catalan and local government worker spoke for five straight days and four nights to set the record in the southern French town of Perpignan. Three notaries were on hand to recognize the feat which allowed Colet to enter in the Guinness Book of Records.

9. Loudest Screamer
The Guinness World Record for the loudest scream by an individual is a thundering 129 decibels, set by Jill Drake, from Tenterden, Kent, in London in 2000. That’s about 10 decibels lower than a jet engine. Mrs Drake, 52, discovered her unusual talent by accident on a trip to London. She entered a screaming competition in the Millennium Dome and was told her 129 decibel howl broke the world record.

10. Cycling Backwards with a Violin
Christian Adam of Lübeck, Germany, learned cycling at the age of 4 and started playing the violin in 1970. Since then, he has combined the two to set and break world records for cycling backwards. His current world record for cycling backwards with a violin is 60.45 kilometres (37.56 miles) in 5 hours, nine minutes.

Listen to Mp3 Music on Your R4 DS Card and Nintendo DS

Published by under Uncategorized

Many Nintendo DS owners don’t realize that their favorite little hand held system can do a whole lot more than just play video games. Don’t get me wrong, the games for the Nintendo DS are absolutely fantastic. I love all the Mario games, and even more so, all of the brain teaser / brain training games. But like any tech and gadget geek, the number of gadgets I carry around with me has increased 200 – 300% since the early nineties. I have my cell phone, my MP3 player (yes, I know, the iphone can play MP3, etc… but I am just not a huge iPhone fan), as well as my Nintendo DS system.

I love being able to play a quick round of my favorite game of the day while I sit on the subway to work. Nothing makes the time go by faster than hunkering down and beating the next boss in Final Fantasy. I usually have my MP3 player on as well, listening to my favorite collection while I kick some serious butt in whatever game I am playing. Okay, I have ot be honest, I am not always winning in the games, but I do try my darned hardest (isn’t that supposed to be enough?).

That was me, about 2 months ago. Until I found out about the R4 DS Card for the Nintendo DS. Now I’m not just playing games, but listening to music, and even watching a movie when I feel like it. And it’s not because I’ve added another gadget to my backpack, fact, quite the opposite. Because of the R4 DS Card I have been able to remove a could of gadgets from my backpack.

The R4 DS Card is a unique little accessory that allows me not only to store and load my games from a microSD card that I put into the R4 DS, but it also lets me load it up with my current playlist in MP3 format, as well as my TV shows or movies that I haven’t had time to catch up on in the last few months.

So just what is this R4 DS card? Simply put, it’s a cartridge that you put into your Nintendo DS console. It looks, feels and acts just like a regular Nintendo DS card. Unlike a regular Nintendo DS Game card however, it has the ability and allows me to use microSD cards – available from any electronics store, Wal-Mart, BestBuy, etc… to store my games, movies, music and eBooks too. I can then load up, listen to or watch whichever movie or song I want to watch or listen to.

I’ve even converted full DVD movies with included software and caught my favorite episode of Dexter on my Nintendo DS. And when I say full movies, I don;t mean choppy or slow playing versions of my movies. They play at full speed, at the right resolution, and are fully watchable (and enjoyable) on my Nintendo DS console.

The R4 DS Card is often called a memory card adapted. Because it allows you to use microSD Cards in order to store and load your games, movies or music from any ordinary microSD Card. But I call it a media player. Simply because it not only allows me to store countless games on the microSD card, but also allows me to take all of my movies, music and games with me, no matter where I am. Not to mention that it does away with me having to carry 2-3 different gadgets to accomplish the same task.

By dragging and dropping the files I want to use to the microSD card, and putting it into the R4 DS Card, I am able to make my Nintendo DS do things I didn’t even think were possible.
