5 Reasons to Visit San Diego

Published by admin under Uncategorized

It’s not hard to see why San Diego, California attracts millions of tourists from all over the country and the world every year. Perfect weather year-round and beautiful beaches in addition to a wide variety of cultural attractions make it the perfect place to vacation. Here are five reasons for making a trip down to sunny San Diego.

The Surf
San Diego beaches are some of the most beautiful beaches you’ll find in California. Whether you’re looking to practice your surfing skills, splash in the waves or work on your tan, you’ll find a place for you in San Diego. The sea cliffs of Torrey Pines and La Jolla offer some of the most spectacular views of the Pacific Coastline anywhere.

Rejuvenating Weather
The beach would not be as great without great weather, and San Diego has plenty of it. In fact, there’s sun and cool breezes pretty much year round. The Mediterranean climate enjoyed by the city only occurs in very few areas of the world and its one of the main draws that brings people to San Diego.

Theme Parks
San Diego has several world famous theme parks that are great for the whole family. There’s SeaWorld, which contains some of the biggest and most amazing aquariums that can only be described as sheer eye-candy, as well as thrilling water rides and animal shows that never fail to impress. There’s also the more kid-oriented Legoland. You can also visit the World Famous San Diego Zoo and the the massive San Diego Wild Animal Park, where giraffes and zebras roam free on acres of state-protected land.

Dynamic Nightlife
In San Diego’s historic Gaslamp District, located in the heart of downtown, you’ll find some of the hottest cocktail lounges, dance clubs and bars, all within short walking distance. San Diego, CA nightlife is great for both singles and couples looking to unwind and relax over a few rounds of drinks and dancing.

Mexico
San Diego is right on the U.S.–Mexico border. It takes minutes to get across and you can even take guided tours down the Mexican coast, enjoying the great Mexican cuisine and culture. If you do decide to go for an excursion in Mexico, however, make sure to bring copies of all important documents, including your passport.

Can San Diego Chargers Fans Dare to Hope?

Published by admin under Uncategorized

Well… yeah. They can. They have. For years. Despite the fact that their team has always fallen short of expectations, going on impressive, pre-playoffs winning streaks only to lose once the pressure of the actual playoffs is on. But who knows. Maybe this year will be different. That is, if the Chargers can keep their collective head in the game and stay focused on improving their strengths.

Right now, the Chargers hold the number one spot in the AFC West Division after soundly pummeling the Denver Broncos last Sunday 32-3. It was San Diego’s fifth win in a row after a rather shaky season start that included 3 losses, one of them against Denver, who last month was actually leading San Diego in standings by 3 ½ games. So what is San Diego doing right and what do they need to keep doing?

The Denver Game

Last Sunday’s game saw a whole different Chargers team than the team that faced off and lost against Denver in week 6. This time around, San Diego players ignored the taunts by the Broncos huddle and stuck to doing what they do best: playing a pragmatic running game and great defense.

The Chargers captured 203 yards on the ground over the course of 43 rough-and-tumble attempts. Quarterback Philip Rivers completed 17 out of 22 passes, a completion rate of 77%, for a total of 145 yards. If you saw the San Diego Chargers pictures you know the defense was solid. Like it’s supposed to be. It gave Denver no quarter and caused three turnovers. Basically, San Diego performed just like its fans expected it to all along. Now let’s see how long they can keep it up.

The Next Six-Weeks

San Diego’s only real challenges should come in weeks 14 and 15, when they’ll be playing against Dallas and Cincinnati respectively. So far, San Diego has never lost a game in December under the coaching of Nerv Turner, something that might give fans hope. Also, the veteran leadership of the Chargers seems to know that a winning streak guarantees nothing. “It’s not Week 17 of the season so we can’t relax,” said Rivers. “We have to keep going strong because we can still keep getting better.”

Reasons Why Women’s Golf Fashion is Changing

Published by admin under Uncategorized

Women have always been the main target in the art of fashion design for their different body types, their love of fashion and their willingness to spend money to make themselves look good.  So why should golf clothing and fashion be any different?  With droves of women coming on to the scene in the world of golf there is more demand than ever for something different, new and exciting in golf clothing and accessories.

Golf was designed for men and has earned the reputation over time as a wealthy country club sport supporting an old boy’s club mentality.  Stiff polo shirts, baggy shorts and pleated pants have been a staple in men’s golf fashion and it seems the trend has followed the women.  But with more and more women having successes on the links the landscape is starting to look a little different.  Fashion designers are starting to respond to the demand for better fitting and more exciting clothing to compliment a woman’s figure while allowing her to play a sport.

Why golf fashion is changing

  • Women don’t like to wear men’s clothes.  Everyone has a different body type and things that look good and feel good on one person may not compliment another.  Designers are realizing that women want to look and feel good while they’re out on the course and there are ways to support that want.  They can still design clothing that respects the tradition of the sport but also compliments a woman’s silhouette.
  • They crave individual style that fits their body type and makes them feel good. Not all women are built the same and they don’t want to wear clothing that is ill fitting.
  • They don’t mind spending the money to make that happen. Women are at the forefront of fashion design and always have been.  More so than their male counterparts they are willing to spend money on ladies golf jackets that make them feel and look good.  As long as women have access to money, there will be a market for golf clothing design.
