Winnie the Pooh Games at Pooh Corner

Published by admin under Uncategorized

Winnie the Pooh games are the perfect compliment to your Pooh theme party located at Hundred Acre Wood. Imagine your little one celebrating their “beary” special day with their friends, while enjoying games and activities featuring Pooh, Tigger, Piglet or Roo.

HUNNY POT GUESSING GAME

A great ice breaker game is to fill a clear plastic container with Teddy Grahams and decorate it with Winnie the Pooh stickers. As your guests arrive, have them examine your closed Hunny pot and try to figure out how many Teddys are contained inside. When they come up with a number, write it down on a slip of paper, along with their name, and place the paper in a bowl. After everyone has arrived and registered their guess, read off the slips of paper and announce the winner. Whoever guesses the closest to the actual number wins, and will take home the Hunny Pot.

PIN THE TAIL ON EEYORE

Hang a poster of Eeyore on the wall. Make enough gray tails, as there are guests out of felt or construction paper. Place double-stick tape at the top of each tail. Children may either close their eyes or wear a blindfold. To cause a little disorientation, gently spin them around, and then have them try to stick their tail on Eeyore where it belongs. Whoever places their tail the closest to the right location shall be the winner!

MUSICAL PIGLET

Winnie the Pooh games that involve music are always a hit with children. Have your guests all sit in a circle and pass a Piglet stuffed animal around the circle as the music plays. When the music stops, whoever is holding Piglet shall be out and shall also win a treat! The game continues until everyone is out and has won a treat.

MUSICAL ANIMALS

Write down on slips of paper the names of various animals, like gorilla, cat, dog, etc. and place those slips into a bowl. This game is played like musical chairs with one exception. The child who doesn’t get to a chair in time, must draw a slip from the bowl and act out the animal through sound and movement, until the other kids guess which animal they are portraying. Play Winnie the Pooh music during this game.

WINNIE THE POOH PARADE

Winnie the Pooh games that allow kids the opportunity to “make music” are always a hit at parties. Give each child a musical instrument, like cymbals, a tambourine, bells, chimes, shakers, cowbells, maracas, or rhythm sticks. Have them all line up and march around the yard or house while playing their instruments. Periodically have them exchange instruments with one another so they each have an opportunity to play a new instrument.

BOX RACE

Decorate cardboard boxes that are large enough for the kids to sit in by painting the boxes red, blue, yellow, and green. Glue various pictures of Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Roo, etc. onto the boxes. Place a pillow in each box for comfort. Line the boxes up on the starting line and have one child get into each box. On “Go”, the parents will push their child to the finish line.

How Can I Watch The Super Bowl On My Computer

Published by admin under Uncategorized

If you want to watch the Superbowl on your computer, then you have a very limited set of options. You can of course hook your cable box up to the computer and then watch the game that way. That’s probably the easiest thing to do, but I’m guessing that when you ask “how can I watch the Superbowl on my computer,” you are actually asking how you can do it through the Internet.

The simple answer is that you can’t do so. To the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing as a streaming feed of the Superbowl online. The reason for this is that the network that buys the right to show the game paid the National Football League millions of dollars for the right to show it and they are highly unlikely to relinquish that right to someone who wants to see it free over the net.

But what if you live in a foreign country and desperately want to know how can I watch the Superbowl on my computer? Again, the simple answer is: you can’t. While the World Series is available for anyone in a foreign country to watch, streamed live from MLB.TV, the National Football League has no such arrangement.

Although the good news is that you will likely find it broadcast on the local ESPN or Fox Sports channel, regardless of who carries it domestically.

However, there are a few ways you can watch the Superbowl on your computer. They just aren’t simple. First, you can set up a sling box. This little device will sit on top of your cable box and stream the feed through the Internet to any location. So, if you’re stuck in Osaka, Japan and want to know “how can I watch the Superbowl on my computer,” you can ask a friend to set up their cable box with a slingbox and watch the game that way.

Another way you can answer the question, “how can I watch the superbowl on my computer,” is by using one of the free streaming TV services. Some of them, such as TVUNetworks and SopCast will have streaming feeds of the game as well. Basically, they work similarly to a slingbox in that someone needs to be streaming it through their computer onto the net.

The difference is, that you don’t need to be concerned with who is streaming the game. These programs use a peer to peer sharing service, similar to Bit Torrent to allow you and all your friends to see the game through your computer since at the same time you’re watching that amazing touchdown, you’re also simultaneously broadcasting it to someone else watching in a computer nearby.

Livestation Internet Tv Software

Published by admin under Uncategorized

Internet TV is a relatively new concept which has exploded onto the world in the past few years. It started with You Tube but quickly morphed into other types of materials. For example, did you know that it’s possible to get free, live TV over the Internet? All you need is some really cool Internet TV software. And we’re not talking about the illegal stuff either. We’re talking live, honest to goodness broadcast TV directly over the Internet from major TV networks.

So what’s the catch? Well, there is one big one and a few small ones. First, the big one: The site we’re talking about is a place called Livestation. They broadcast about a dozen high quality live TV channels over the Internet free for the taking whenever you want and pretty much wherever you happen to live. It’s licensed by the networks and is 100% legal. The catch: the only channels they have are news channels, places like BBC, Al Jazeera, France 24 (strangely missing are American news channels such as Fox News and CNN – one guesses they figure they’ve got enough of an audience without them).

That said, they do offer some sporting material as well, with their new pay per view program (did we mention that the channels above are all free and you need to do is to download the Internet TV software from their web site?). Recent material included European football matches which one could not necessarily see in one’s home country.

But what about all the other types of channels? How do we get Internet TV into the mainstream? Well they answer that question as well. They provide you with the option of getting user defined channels into the system. Now of course the fact that you can enter a user defined channel does not mean you’ll be watching the Simpsons for free online (although many such shows are available elsewhere). But there are nearly 3,000 other TV stations from all over the world that are included in the program.

The interface is gorgeous as well, providing a kind of a carousel wheel where you can see the channels sliding by as you flip through a virtual “book” of channels available for viewing.

One problem with all this beauty though is that it does require a fairly fast Internet connection. This is a problem since a great many people try to get away with the phone company’s cheapo 786K connection and frankly that just isn’t fast enough to handle the amount of data that it takes for an Internet TV broadcast to come through clearly. They recommend a higher level for their Internet TV software and trust us, it definitely shows.
